Current Subprocessors
Firebase / Google Cloud Platform
Purpose: Authentication, hosting, database, and backend infrastructure
Service: Firebase Auth for account login and session management, Firebase App Hosting for frontend application hosting and content delivery, Cloud Firestore for subscription and tenant state, and Cloud Run for backend API hosting
Google Cloud SQL (Postgres)
Purpose: Primary application database
Service: Storage of journal entries, mood entries, attachment metadata, and profile fields. All user content and personal fields are encrypted at rest with a per-user key before being written.
Stripe, Inc.
Purpose: Payment processing and subscription billing
Service: Checkout sessions, recurring subscription management, invoice generation, and customer billing portal. Stripe receives the email address, billing details, and IP address required to process the payment; we do not transmit journal content to Stripe.
Data Processing Scope
Subprocessors support infrastructure operations only. They do not independently interpret, analyze, categorize, summarize, or generate insights from user content.
